GUERREIRO STORY
Guerreiro was one of five horses that had been abandoned and left to die.
When he was found, he was only a young foal. Severely malnourished and little more than skin and bones, he had reached the point where he no longer had the strength to stand. Like Maria Vitória, he was lying on the ground, weak, exhausted, and fighting for survival without food, water, or care.
When we found him we could see that he was in a desperate condition. Yet despite his weakness, he continued to fight.
As a young foal facing impossible circumstances, Guerreiro showed remarkable determination and resilience. His will to survive became the inspiration for his name, which means “Warrior” in Portuguese.
His rescue marked the beginning of a new chapter — one filled with care, protection, and the chance to grow into the horse he was always meant to become.
FROM SURVIVAL TO STRENGHT
Today, Guerreiro is a healthy young horse who has made an incredible recovery.
Following his rescue, he received the nutrition, veterinary care, and attention he desperately needed. He was also treated for anemia and gradually regained his strength, weight, and vitality.
Looking at him today, it is difficult to imagine the fragile foal he once was. The horse that could barely stand has grown into a strong, healthy, and thriving young horse.
His journey is a powerful reminder that even in the darkest circumstances, determination, compassion, and proper care can create extraordinary outcomes.
