ZE TROVAO STORY
Zé Trovão was rescued from a property where he was living alone and without proper living conditions.
Before his rescue, he had been used for parades, exhibitions, and choreographed performances. To make him perform the routines expected by his owners, he was subjected to harsh treatment and repeated punishment whenever he failed to execute commands correctly.
Over time, the constant pressure, fear, and punishment left emotional scars that would remain long after his physical rescue.
When he arrived at the sanctuary, he was suffering from anemia and an eye infection, in addition to the emotional trauma caused by years of mistreatment.
Although his physical health could be treated, rebuilding trust would prove to be a much longer journey.
