Grandão was part of a rescue involving three horses that had been abandoned and left without proper care.
When he was found, he was malnourished, weak, and in poor health. Like the other horses rescued alongside him, he had been left without adequate food or water and was struggling to survive.
Before his abandonment, Grandão had spent part of his life as a rodeo horse. For reasons unknown, he was later sold to a group of young people who eventually found themselves unable to care for him. As his condition deteriorated, he was left behind with little chance of recovery.
Fortunately, Grandão was rescued before it was too late. With proper nutrition, veterinary attention, and a safe environment, he was given the opportunity to begin a new chapter in his life.
