Maria Vitória STORY
 Maria Vitória was one of five horses that had been abandoned and left to die.
When she was found, her condition was heartbreaking. She was lying on the ground without the strength to stand or move. Severely malnourished, she was little more than skin and bones. She had a serious infection affecting her entire body, and an open tumor on her neck that was continuously leaking discharge.
Years of neglect had taken a devastating toll on her health. Large areas of her body had lost hair due to severe nutritional deficiencies, and she had been left without adequate food, water, or veterinary care.
Her condition was so critical that even the veterinarian involved in her rescue did not believe she would survive.
Yet despite everything she had endured, Maria Vitória refused to give up.
She was rescued, given emergency treatment, proper nutrition, and the time she needed to heal. What followed was nothing short of extraordinary.
